It’s Project for Awesome time! Project for Awesome, or P4A, is an annual fundraiser that raises money and awareness for all kinds of nonprofit organizations. We’re in the running for a grant of some of the money raised through P4A, and your vote can help us win.

Vote by this Sunday, February 19, to help us support creativity around the world.

It’s simple:

  1. Go to the NaNoWriMo page on the Project for Awesome site.
  2. Click on each video.
  3. Select the “I’m not a robot” check box, then click the big VOTE box.

Please vote for ALL the NaNoWriMo videos—voting is cumulative!

The 2022 Project for Awesome is just around the corner!! (February 18-20, 2022)! ✨ Nerdfighter Art submissions are now open! If you want to contribute some artwork, email us at nerdfighterart@gmail.com by November 29th 2021.

In your email, let us know what you have/will be creating, the quantity (15 is ideal!), and include a photo if you can. We will let you know if it looks like a good fit for P4A and provide additional information as soon as we can, giving you a good amount of time to create your pieces. We’d like you to ship them to us no later than January 15th.

A few things to keep in mind:

*Ideally you’ll be making 15+ items and shipping them to Missoula, MT for distribution. 

*We’re looking for small, easily shipped items. This can include knitwear, small plushies, small drawings and paintings, digital art prints, etc. Nothing super big or super fragile.

*The estimated worth of the art should be $25-30 because the perk will be sold for $40.

*Be mindful about avoiding common allergens in your artwork (limiting contact with animal hair/fur, etc) 

*The art does not need to be Nerdfighter themed, but it is highly encouraged!

Hello. I have experienced a major metamorphosis. I am no longer a coffee company. I am now a fan blog celebrating the Project for Awesome, a 16-year-old online fundraiser and charity extravaganza.

Since 2007, the P4A has raised over $17,000,000 for a huge variety of great causes. Right now, all donations will go to Partners in Health and Save the Children, two organizations working to extend healthcare and educational opportunities to vulnerable populations. Plus, you can get great perks, like original art and stories created by people in our community. The livestream starts at noon eastern on Friday, but you can donate now! 

My personal favorite perk so far is my spouse, Sarah Urist Green, series of prints in which she removes men from iconic photographs. (Sonny and Cher become Cher and Cher; John and Yoko become Yoko and Yoko; and so on.) You can see all the perks here!

Palestinian Charites to Vote For in Project for Awesome!

Above is a portrait of Hind Rajab, a six year old girl who was murdered by the Israeli military. I've decorated her in pink, because it was her favorite color.

As Project for awesome officially kicks off, I want to remind everyone of the wonderful Palestinian charities they can vote for this year! UNRWA USA (there's two videos for this one, here are the links: 1, 2), PCRF, and the Palestinian American Community Center.

Project for Awesome raised over 3 million dollars last year, and already in it's first hour has raised 1 million dollars, so it's shaping up to be one of the biggest P4As ever! A portion of that money will be divided among charities voted for by the community so please consider voting for Palestinian charities this year!
